Wytold & Tolk is the partnership of six-string electric cellist Wytold and multi-instrumentalist Jerry Tolk. After years performing together around the DC metro area, “Song 5” is their first single written as true equal co-writers – expanding into multi-instrumental looping and electrified cinematic production while keeping performance interplay at the center.
“Song 5” features old-school hip-hop beats and brings Jerry’s acid-jazz style into the forefront of their songwriting process.
A talented multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, Jerry has been performing a wide variety of instruments with Wytold since 2010 including drums, guitar, electric guitar, six-string banjo, and six-string bass.
Together, Wytold and Jerry have performed at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Strathmore Performing Arts Center, the French Embassy, TEDx, the Phillips Collection Art Gallery, the National Geographic Museum, and many more DC-area venues.
Jerry’s playing is also especially featured throughout Wytold’s 2016 album “Fireflies, Fairies & Squids“.
