The Mist was a cloud of confusion surrounding Wytold’s own artistic mission amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Pearl was the nugget of inspiration that served as a guiding light, as well as a gem boulder in upstate NY.
This 2022 solo release was recorded as live-looping performances entirely on Ursula, Wytold’s unique carbon fiber six-string acoustic cello. Climbing references are scattered throughout the track names, as bouldering served as a grounding source of inspiration throughout this difficult time.
